With over 20 years of experience in the culinary scene across Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and his specialization in Sichuan cuisine, Ren launched Hutong Dubai in 2020, blending traditional dishes with Arabian influences, while elevating the local dining landscape with unforgettable flavours.
Born in 1985 and raised in Chengdu, Chef Ren successful career as a chef has spanned over 20 years of combined experience in the F&B scenes of Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai. As culinary leader of Hutong Dubai, he plays an important role in bringing the best of Chinese cuisine to a global stage.
Throughout his culinary journey, Chef Ren acquired culinary skills and kitchen management skills from both the Eastern and Western gastronomic worlds. With his diverse training in Cantonese, Shanghainese, and Sichuan cuisines, as well as experience with Western cuisine, his strength and passion nonetheless remains with his native Sichuan cuisine with its bold and fiery flavours.
